Essex Hill Sale Rams
Features
Essex Hill has a breeding objective to grow true to type, superfine wool. That is sheep that produce bright spinners type wool with high crimp frequency and definition, low in fibre diameter with high staple strength.
The stud consistently produces ASF1 type wool with 1PP appraised bales being achieved over the last 7 years.
Emphasis is placed on breeding plain bodied sheep with good confirmation, free of fleece rot and body strike. ( No body strike treatment has been used for many years).
All rams are measured for worm resistance. Merino Select ASBV’s are provided for a range of traits on all sale rams.
